My recommendation this month is Peter Zeihan's book, The Accidental Superpower. His thesis is that America has a number of geographic and demographic advantages compared with other countries around the world.

I found this book interesting as an explanation of how the world works, because now when I look at a map of a country, I see all these built-in advantages and disadvantages that include everything from shipping routes to potential for military conflict. This makes it more interesting to learn about each nation's history, too, because you start to see certain themes emerge.

Enjoy!

Nicholas
